Akashi has developed an entirely new tooth design that prevents tugging, slipping or hair catching in the scissors. Each tooth has been manufactured with one, two or three indentations to prevent the hair from slipping. Certain models in the Premium Cut-, Super Cut Cobalt- and Super Cut lines also feature a longer C-shaped tooth. This prevents the blade from becoming caught in the teeth. Before the blade can become caught, it comes to rest at the next tooth (large supporting surface). This in turn allows us to make the blade even sharper.
