Incorrectly setting the scissors can seriously impair the blades. If the scissors are too loose, the hair can get caught between the blades or the hair could slide off them. If they are too tight, it increases wear on the blade material. Both incorrect settings reduce the working life of the scissors and undermine their cutting properties.

Always adjust correctly!
- Set the scissors so lose that they close shut under their own weight.
- Now, adjust the Akashi screw system until the blade can no longer close under its own weight and remains in place in any position (see image). The screw system can be adjusted step by step.

Maintenance
Depending on use, hairdressing scissors should be cleaned and oiled several times a week For this we recommend the medically approved Akashi oil, fulfills the highest demands on purity, compatibility and function.
